Magnificently Delicious Acai Bowl
Say it’s a hot, sunny day, and all you can think about is a refreshing bowl of ice cream, but don’t want to take in all those calories and fats; what can you do? Do you give in and load up on Chunky Monkey®? I might have a better solution for you.. It’s called an acai bowl, and it’s pretty much the best thing since microwaves and Gladware. This bowl is a much healthier alternative to ice cream and it tastes just as good, if not better! Also, acai bowls are packed full of vitamins, so they are a great way to start your morning right!
First, freeze one banana and some mixed berries (such as raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries)
Second, put all your frozen fruits in the blender and pour in half a cup of acai juice, as well as half a cup of milk
Third, blend it all to a nice creamy consistency and pour it all into a bowl
Fourth, (the fun part) decorate the top of your creation with different berries and oats; anything you think will go well with the flavors you have. I love strawberries, blueberries, and coconut flakes on mine!
The beautiful thing about an acai bowl is that you can add so many toppings to give you any of the benefits that you’re looking for. If you want more fiber in your diet, just add oats. If you want to lose weight, the acai can help you with that. Adding fruits will help you with digestion, and your cardiovascular system.
